Join the Mission
We’re building AI for Northeast India’s languages and communities. Whether you’re a researcher, student, developer, linguist, or native speaker; there’s a place for you here.
How You Can Contribute
Whether you need hands-on research experience, want to collaborate on cutting-edge NLP, contribute to open-source, or help preserve your language; we have opportunities across different commitment levels.
Research Internships
Work on active projects in low-resource NLP, model training, and language technology. Ideal for undergraduate/graduate students looking for hands-on AI research experience.
What you’ll do:
- Data collection and preprocessing
- Model training and evaluation
- Research documentation
- Contributing to publications
Details:
- Duration: 3-6 months
- Commitment: Full-time or part-time
- Compensation: Stipend available for select funded projects; other positions offer co-authorship and mentorship

What you’ll do:
- Co-develop models and methods
- Joint paper authorship
- Dataset creation and sharing
- Grant proposal collaboration
Details:
- Duration: Project-based (3-12 months)
- Commitment: Flexible, part-time
- Compensation: Partnership-based; access to compute, datasets, co-authorship
Open-Source Contributors

What you’ll do:
- Code contributions and bug fixes
- Documentation improvements
- Dataset contributions
- Model testing and evaluation
Details:
- Duration: Ongoing, at your pace
- Commitment: As much or little as you want
- Compensation: Recognition in repos, model cards, and publications
Language Contributors

What you’ll do:
- Audio transcription (speech-to-text)
- Text annotation and labeling
- Translation verification
- Voice/audio recording
- Cultural validation
Details:
- Duration: Project-based or ongoing
